Not only can it be annoying, the noise makes it really difficult to understand the person you are talking with! Did you know there are other types of noise, besides audio noise? Tim is a professor of communication at Biola University in La Mirada, CA, and is the co-director of the Winsome Conviction Project which seeks to reintroduce humility, civility, and compassion back into our public disagreements.
